NELL ENRIQUEZ
Nell started her artistic career with a camera that was off limits. At the age of twelve she would often find herself on her own for a few hours before her parents were to be home. She would climb outside her window up onto the roof so she could take pictures of everything. An excellent student and a good kid, using roll after roll of film would be the only origin for many lectures from her parents. She was instantly captivated to view everything in forms of lines, light, shadows and angles. She uses pictures as a frame in her memory to communicate with others the things, places and people that she's drawn to.
Nell began learning about photography with film. Eventually moving on to digital photography. With technology this lead to digital editing. All of this knowledge was simply a way to get lost in the art. While studying Business, Nell found herself in the Humanities building taking a Literature course. Her gaze was distracted by the many students walking in and out of with paints, brushes... and thruth be told by the beautiful Mac Lab next door. She found out these were the Art and Graphic Design classrooms. Eventually she threw caution to the wind and dropped the Literature course and joined the Communication Design program. She is a proud graduate of this program and now does exactly what she loves. She is lucky enough to work in both these fields.
Nell often donates her time and talent to praiseworthy causes. Her community is a very important part of her life. As such she has donated her artwork to non-profit organizations whose missions convey her sentiments.
